... bought a 1997 'P' registered Nissan Primera 2.0GX 5 door hatchback (newer shape but not the latest one) in December 2000. After almost 12 months of ownership I can honestly say it's the best family saloon I've had to date. Having owned a Bluebird in the past and having a good experience with that followed by a disastrous 3 years with an Escort 1.8 diesel I decided it was time to return to Nissan and I haven't been disappointed! ... have an M reg Micra. It is very reliable and for a small car seems to have plenty of room. Last summer I drove from Manchester to the south of france with my wife and 3 children and had no problems what so ever although it did get a bit sticky because of the lack of air conditioning. Th petrol consumption is very good. The overall feel of the car is good and it is a pleasure to drive. My only fault is with the demister fan - it only works on full setting.
