Porsche 944 ... my younger days, I had viewed the porsche from afar. My arms just weren?t long enough. Meeting my future wife was the first step as she wanted one, then suddenly it became feasible. Gradually we were able to afford one, though initially the sensible side (toy vs essentials) overcame and the purchase was delayed. After a long hunt, we found the one we wanted, a BLACK 944S2 COUPE, FROM 1991, a healthy 8 years old when it joined our family. We have been driving this beast for two years now. It is used as a posing car ( now let?s be honest here ) at the weekends, or if we are going somewhere nice. Bags of cement are relegated to the back of the mondeo, our other car. ... Porsche Boxster 2.7 ... always looked upon the Boxster as a 'special' car. Not just in the way it is constructed, but because if Porsche hadn't designed and taken a gamble with it, the company would have gone bankrupt or maybe taken over by a second rake manufacturer. That would have meant that the snobby 911 owners who consider the Boxster to be a 'Poor man's' route into Porsche ownership, wouldn't have been able to buy their beloved 911's anymore. Boo-hoo. Porsche 911 Turbo ... and feel the speed in the wide, empty country roads. It´s like special big go kart,that when you drive all the road sensations you feel then in your hands. The engine sounds are just great, just pure music to the ears, the equipment it´s great, and really you are wishing to have the free time to appriciate this marvellous piece of machinery. I think this is really the last autenthic Porsche Carrera 911, the new one has a different engine, inside looks like a Boxster, it´s more comfortable, different sound, so it´s not a pure one like the 996.
