Rover 25 in general:
... force. These were the only issues with the car. I felt it was a nice size inside, quiet enough engine and comfortably driving position. I have driven this car on 400 miles journeys on 10 or more occassions without stopping and havent experienced any aches or pains. Rover also seem to have ridden themselves of the head gasket issues that plagued the two hundred series usually around the 60000 mile mark as I drove ... Rover 25 1.6iS 16v 5dr ... am writing this review as a previous owner of one of these nightmares. I bought it because I loved the cherry red it came in and it was reasonably priced with 5 doors.I had just had my second child and was fed up of my 3 door car. The car looked absolutely beautiful, sporty.I thought ,hhmm I l look good behind that, lol. Bad points * Should have left it where it was.It drank petrol so fast I was scared to go anywhere I wasnt desperate to go. Interior was as cheap and plasticy as you can get. It did not stick to the road as well as it should after speeds of 40 mph. It was too small once child number three was on her way. Just didn t feel safe. GOOD POINTS * I bought ... Rover 75 ... Rover 75 I had was the Club SE version, it was a 1.8 litre petrol engine and came with climate control. The reason why I am talking in past-tense is because the car eventually gave up in typical rover style and was sent to the scrap yard a couple of months back. Please don t misunderstand me if I sound like I didn t like this car, I was very found of everything but the engine! The car its self was a 2000 model (W reg), and the bodywork and interior was very good in many ways. The Rover 75 is a neo-classical style, very similar to a Jaguar released around the same time and I personally think that the Rover 75 looks the better of the two (I am not for one minute say... Rover Metro ... to the review below, i had a Rover Metro Rio Grande in royal bluey green. I bought it because it had low mileage when my first car (a Corsa) was stolen. I have to say, i only bought it to last me through the first year at university however it still sits at my parents house 6 years later! It was a M reg; I found it a very good car. Mechanically I only every had issues with the battery connections (which was a cheap fault to fix) and rusting on the wheel arches and some rusting on the joints which hold the roof up - neither of these were significant enough to fail an MOT or cause any real worries. My father fixed any minors problems and always commented on the fact... Read the full review: Retro Metro - still a runner! by suzanneb84 |
