ikickass Rover 214 Si: ... got my 1999 T-Reg Rover 200 (214sei 8v) about three months ago. I brought it privately for £1000, then paid another £200 for a service, cam-belt change and to fix a gearbox oil leak (I knew it needed this from the service history and negotiated it into the price). So far it is the best £1200 I have ever spent. The car was in mint condition (other than mentioned above) with just a few small scratches to the bodyw...

failme Rover 400
... would you rather have, a dodgy old non-turbo diesel Volkswagen or Peugeot with a spec-list only Spartans would be happy with, or a newish 104bhp turbodiesel Rover 400 with 12mths MOT and lots of features for similar money? I know which I chose... Reliability: The only disabling problem I had with this car was some corroded wiring in the starter circuit, an easy fix. Despite incredibly hard use (driving through fields, rivers, up dirt tracks, thrashing it mercilessly) it never faltered. It shrugs off 1000-mile road trips with no fuss at all. Modern Rovers have a fragile reputation, but with the L-series turbodiesel and Honda underpinnings this beast is indestructibl...

Superspy Rover 214 Si
... ve currently owned my 1997 214si since May this year after buying it for only £800 from my girlfriends mum, Bev. Let me start by dispelling a fear that Rover parts will no longer be available as Rover have stopped production - to the best of my knowledge Rover made the cars themselves and another company made the spare parts, I have been told that parts and labour are guaranteed for 12 years. Anyway, on with the car. As will all things there are 2 sides to a story, a good side and a bad side (normally), in this case the bad side for a first time owner is the insurance tag. Being a newer hatchback model it is insurance group 7, which is a bit of a stinger in compariso...

mal21 Rover 25 1.4iL 16v 5dr (103bhp)
... just got this car last week and I totally love it I think it is a lot better than a Corsa. The handling is great the power steering is brill, it looks gorgeous and you can do a lot with it. I did find one or two wee problems with it whenever I put my foot down going over 70mph it felt really rough and bumpy I found this quite odd as it s a 1.6 I don t know if it is just my one like that? don t get me wrong its a really nippy car and the take off is great. Also the stereo is really badly positioned I was changing a cd the other day and totally veered on to the other side of the road luckily no one was there. The car is very economical and great for new or young drivers....
