Vauxhall Corsa (pre 2000): ... purchased this 1997 Corsa GLS TD just over 8 months ago to use as my "commuter" car, to travel about 20 miles each way to work, a mixture of A roads, dual carriageway and city traffic. ... haunt me when the DVLA said I hadn't renewed my tax or declared a SORN. So, despite the fact the car didnt even exist anymore, it still cost me £25 notes to finally put it to rest. Was that a car review or a short story? Ah, who cares? So, to summarise - Nova's - theres still a few good 10 year old ones around - if your'e a poor student and need a cheap, reliable old banger, then buy one. ... it with 90,000 miles on it great car lots of room inside done around 50miles to the gallon the only problem it had was finding good second hand parts for it. not many diesels made in this model it was a B reg i kept it till it failed its MOT ,around 3 years i had it for, the suspension struts were gone, these cars can rust believe watch out. if in good condition with low miles it will last forever ...

... the traction control off, it feels very steady for its size and doesn't wallow at all but, unlike some, it is still supremely comfortable and smooth. The speed sensitive power steering add much needed weight at speed yet when parking it could not be lighter. STYLING The standard models styling does leave something to be desired but 1 reason I chose my specific car was because it has a, Vauxhall, bodykit with a lovely front grille and airdam with spot lights and a standard fit ultra discreet rear spoiler. And the 17" alloy wheels, well, lets just say that the Mk1 MV6 alloys are probably the nicest standard fit alloys ever. INTERIOR Inside it isn't ...
