Advantages: Very sporty

Disadvantages: Cost

I inherited this car as a company car sometime last year, it was chosen by my predecessor. However I had driven Audi's in the past, previously a basic model A4, 1997, which I loved. The first thing that put me off the car was the fact that it was a bright green colour, not my usual conservative choice, and the fact that the particular model I inherited was only three door, again not my usual choice. At the same time, I believe the three door is still better looking than the five, if less practical.

However the car was just wonderful to drive. Smaller than the cars I had driven in recent years, I loved the sporty feel, the way it seemed to cling to the road much of the time, and the fact you could put your foot down, and there was always something left due to the turbo engine. Oh and it was very efficient given it was a diesel. I even inadvertently impressed my 20 year old nephew while I was out driving so it must be good! The length between services was 20000 miles, which is generous for a diesel and would save on running costs for the private motorist.

Standard Equipment:

Alloy wheels
traction control
Anti theft device
RS Radio
Driver and Passenger Airbags
Electric Front windows
ABS
Zinc galvanised body

Technical spec:

195/65 tyres
0-62 mph 11 seconds
Fuel consumption 56.5 mpg Combined
Fuel consumption 67.3 mpg Extra Urban

Top Speed 117 mph

102 BHP

Hopefully that is enough technical detail for the average driver, I could go on, but I am not sure if you would want me to!!!!

The downside for me, was the fact it was only three door, it was difficult for anyone of above average size and physique to climb in and out of the back seat with any dignity! This was not a problem 95% of the time, when there was only me in it, but not really suitable as a company car, given I often had passengers.
