I bought my Audi A4 1.8SE at Brightwells Leominster Car Auction last November. It was registered in 1996, had full service history, climate control, alloys, electric front windows, adjustable steering wheel and all the usual things. It even has a little sun visor over the rear view mirror in case you need it. The car was in immaculate condition without even a stain on the seats. I have now driven 12,000 miles in it and it has been reliable. The driver's seat gives excellent support and even after a very long journey it is comfortable. I reckon that the A4 is a really class looking car . There’s a good range of engines, from 1.6-litre petrols and 1.9-litre turbo diesels right up to really smooth 2.6-litre V6 units. The gearshift is slick and the brakes have an efficiency that you come to expect from the German car producer. When I test drove the A 4 I found that the suspension handles bends with ease and cushions the bumps, even when these happen to come along at the same moment. I found that you don’t really notice the front-wheel drive –except in extreme low gear and tight uphill corners. I do think that it would be better if the steering wasn’t so light. Inside, ...
