Advantages: Comfy, refined, built to last, relatively frugal
Disadvantages: Common, expensive parts
This Audi is full of mod cons which make the older versions look boring in comparrison. Leather seats provide luxurious comfort for all passengers with extendable front seats. Built in Sat Nav and changer CD player makes travelling around a pleasure rather than a chore. It is of note however; these superb mod cons appear on the pricier S line model I had as a company car. I am in no doubt that the lesser models would be of a similar quality, however I do not believe they would offer similar levels of refinement.
The engine, although quiet, allows the car to climb hills easily and has enough power to make sure that the car is a smooth car to drive. Fuel economy is good 38mpg(ish) lower than the stated 40, making this a fairly cheap car to run. Insurance is reasonable and taxing is a reasonable band J (just above 200 pounds) per year. A word of warning however, while day to day running can be reasonable, tyres can prove short lived due to the torque of the engine and at around 150 to 200 pound each, this can prove costly.
Although not a cheap car to purchase new, good examples can be picked up between 10 and 12k for a 5 year old car. This represents cracking value for the famous Audi reliability and build quality.
Summary: An excellent car, if you value comfort over exclusivity
