I purchased my TT in Germany on the basis of a few cars with foreign number plates I had seen on the road plus press articles. Firstly by buying overseas I secured delivery in 12 weeks compatred to the 12 month time UK dealers quoted and saved £4500. A simple process well worth investigating.
When the car arrived I wasn't disappointed. This is a car that visually stands apart from all others and has taken sports car styling to another level. The interior has an industrial feel with aluminium dials and gearstick but just as importantly they work in practice and are easy on the eye. Seats are very comfortable and at the turn of a button provide varying levels of heat for those long winter drives. The boot space is surprisingly good for a sports car and can easily accomodate a few weekend bags or the weekly supermarket shop. The rear seats however are suitable for infants only but can fold forward to give extra storage space.
The TT is quick, not super quick but then that isn't the whole idea with this car. The balance between looks, speed and over performance is what AUDI have aimed to deliver. The car has had well documented issues regarding stability when cornering although I have not had any concerns although that may reflect my own driving style. New production TTs have a spoiler and ESP (a stability package)as standard equipment and all owners with models not including these have been offered modifications free of charge. Personally the spolier is a nice addition and does diminish the smooth lines that were such a part of the cars visual attraction.

Try one out on the road and you'll soon find that the TT is a real head turner.
