For an even better buy, get hold of a BMW 325i Touring from 1988/89. I picked up a red, immaculate 325i Touring for only £3,250; with 92,000 miles on the clock the 2.5 litre, straight 6 engine goes like the clappers (well, in a straight line anyway) and it is really "fun" in the wet - the back end is fairly heavy and has a tendency to slip out int he wet around corners; this makes it a far more exciting ride though! Even at 92,000 miles the engine is as good as new and will be sound for at least another 100K.
