Advantages: reliability, comfort, good fuel economy.

Disadvantages: tyre wear, main dealer charges.

I test drove the 330D Sport and found that the suspension was a little too stiff, (my wife didn't like it either). we then drove the SE and found the car to be a much nicer drive.
The car does 42 to the gallon going back and forth to work ( mainly dual carriageway ) it has more than enough power, I honestly don't think that ( normal people ) would need more power than this. it is very quiet when on the move, although it is a little noisey when first starting up. the quality of the car is second to none, I have had nothing go wrong with it at all, and the build quality inside and out the vehicle appears to be excellent.
The only down side of owning the car is that it is heavy on tyres, it will do around 15 - 18,000 miles before the front's need replacing, and you will pay £100 + per tyre, also BMW main dealer charges are very very high.

I purchased the car when it was 2 years old with 18000 miles on the clock from a BMW specialist dealer with a full service history ( very important as these car's can do mega mileage without obvious signs of wear ) and I paid 18,000 pounds less than the car sold for new. it had only 1 owner so the poor guy who bought it new took a massive hit when he came to sell it.

I had looked at a lot of 330D's and found that lot's of them were imports which was something that most sellers and dealers are reluctant to tell you. although there should be no problem with imported cars, they were originally purchased cheaper, so if you buy a second hand imported car you should expect to pay less than a UK car. (if you try to sell an imported car to a dealer he will always tell you it's worth less) so in my opinion this should work both ways.

Summary: overall an excellent car.... strongly recommended.
