My 520i is a wonderful car to drive but two engines later I beginning to wish I had never heard of BMW. BMW paid for the first engine stating that fuel supplied in the UK corroded the engine.Please check,other owners. Then a corroded connection pipe caused overheating.BMW admitted to the design fault and paid for 50%. Then my automatic gearbox started spraying oil out and I am told the positioning of the cooler is where there could be a collection of leaves and road dirt that could cause the aluminium cooler (previously steel) to corrode.I will be writing to BMW again.
