Hmmm, the MINI One. I knew the old Mini really well, when I was 18, me and my brother stripped the engine from his 1967 Morris Mini Mk2 and rebuild it. We loved that car, it was really his car but I admit I was jealous. Sure it had its faults but this was seat of your pants motoring, 30 mph felt like 90mph and it would handle like it was on rails. It was cheap accessible motoring fun if you were on a budget. For me, it wasn't the Italian Job that gave it kudos, it was a fabled race between a Ferrari and a Monte Carlo Cooper works Mini. The Mini couldn't beat the Ferrari in a straight line but it did easily on the twists and turns of the Turin ...

I love my mini and certainly BMW have done a great job of bringing back this classic car, mine is just over three years old and I bought t for £4,000 about a year ago from a friend. The interior is nice and stylish with a big retro dial in the center of the dash board which is easy to read what ever your driving position. The rest of the interior is well designed with clean lines and an eye for detail. I find the seats really comfortablke as well and it is a smooth ride, the longest drive I have done without a stop was a two hour trip that included both motorway and highway driving and it was very comfortable with absolutely no aches or pains or ...

The new Mini, its a cute looking car, a fashion car, like the new Beetle. Is it more about style than substance?? Its all quite well put together, very stylish. Some areas of trim are a bit flimsy though. Its great fun to drive on short journeys, lovely sharp steering, responsive handling. But on a longer journey, its tiring, that ride, oh, its just too firm and fidgets all time, you constantly have to correct the steering, after an hour its pretty tiring. Something like a boring Ford Focus copes with a motorway journey so much better. Spacious? well not really, up in the front is OK, but the back seats are a joke and the boot is only ...
