Advantages: solid fun great to drive

Disadvantages: heavy on fuel and not much space in the back

I bought a Mini One back in 2005 for my wife, its the first time i have ever bought a brand new car and its also the first time ive ever seen my wife excited by a car.

Like alot of BMW cars we had to pay for any extras, we didnt go nuts but we got the roof black and the main paintwork is like an off white. It looks very smart. I paid to get the pepper pack which gives fog lights carpets etc and i also got black seats which looked good.

The final extra i got was an automatic gearbox which has manual flaps on the stearing wheel with a sports mode.

The drive is great, it really holds the road and when i get the odd chance to have a shot i always feel that it wants to be driven on winding roads and pushed on a bit.

It feels solid and has a typical BMW feel to it. It is a quality made car.

We also took out the TLC service pack which is worth the cost i think it was about £430 for 3 years servicing.

The only down side is its very heavy on the fuel due to it being an auto and for such a small car it has a huge turning circle. The kids also feel a bit cramped in the back. I think all in all we paid about £13500

Overall we both love it.
