Advantages: Lovely,fast
Disadvantages: none
Parked neatly on the Bugatti stand at the 1995 Geneva Show were three examples of the EB110, each proclaiming a world record. The first was that the EB110 Supersport laid claim to being the fastest production car with a maximum speed of 218 mph. The second record was for the fastest car using methane gas as a fuel- 214.2mph. And the third was the fastest speed ever recorded on ice- 184.1mph achieved on a stretch of frozen sea somewhere in the Arctic circle. The creator of Bugatti, Ettore Bugatti was born in 1881; the new Bugatti was launched 110 years later, an engineering jewel with a shrink-wrapped skin. Those who have built such supercars can only marvel at how such a technology showcase can be produced for under £300,000 when every part has been designed from a clean sheet of paper. Engine: Quad-turbo V-12 3499cc Horsepower: 611 bhp@8250rpm Transmission: Manual 6-speed with 4WD Chassis: Carbon fibre with aluminium body Brakes: Discs all round with ABS Top Speed: 218mph Acceleration: 0-60mph 4.3 seconds 0-100mph 9.2 seconds
