Chrysler Neon in general

Newest Review: ... and drive faster than American cars of this class, however, the Neon is available in Europe (under Chrysler) so I guess ... more

... it's a fair comparison. It's a short looking car, with the typical American styling, of rounded front ends, and rear ends, showing off large headlights, and funny looking grilles. The front end is busy, with headlights taking up the majority of the front, and then neighbored by orange driving lights, which probably would have been better mounted inside the headlights as sidelights, but thats the American way. The one I am driving doesn...more

Premium Review Chrysler Neon in general: dodgy? its not as bright as a neon (2233 words)

Well, as those of you who follow my writing will know, I am currently in the states, for a short while. While I was here, I thought I would test out a few cars, just to see how the Americans do it. Armed with my driving license, and any driver insurance I hit the road. So, First car on my hit list, was the Dodge Neon. The people I am staying with own a 2000 Neon, 2.0litre, automatic. Now, being used to 2.0litre models, I thought this would be a fun little car, but I have to say, I was very disappointed. I will try and write this in my normal car review way. So yep, you guessed it, a little history on the car. Dodge is owned by DaimlerChrysler. Probably ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review END OF TERM REPORT - Neon - A Yank on a European Scale (689 words)

THIS IS NOW MY "END OF TERM REPORT" ON THE NEON AFTER ALMOST TWO YEARS USE. I bought my (new model) Neon LX in December 1999 from new. I have to date covered 18,000 miles in it during which time it has been utterly reliable with no defects on delivery either. It was always on the cards that I would sell this to my uncle after two years, but circumstances, in the guise of some doddering old twit reversing into his car, thereby writing it off, havebrought this forward. This will now be replaced by the Smart that I have written about elsewhere - an odd choice I know, but as I say, it's all down to circumstances and the fact that ...  Read the complete review

The cost of this car is only 13500. Some of your are screaming ONLY at me right now.... I can hear it. But wait for what you get :- A Nice Engine ------------- Good performer with poke when it's needed. Fuel consumption is nothing special but then what is with a 2.0 16v engine. Comfort ------- Leather seats & steering wheel. good solid seats tat you know are going to hold you well on long business trips or goig to the beach. Rear comfort is good as well, though a little cramped. Remember that this car is not a big as the Modeo you may be driving right now. Price ----- Yes it's 13500 as I said. This is good ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Chrysler Neon...American Value (142 words)

Our family car is a top of the range "T" regestered Chrysler Neon. It is a GLX. It has a 2.0 16v engine and has 131bhp I feel that this car is totaly great value for money, and at the time of which we purchased the car, we could find no other car on the market that offered the same value for money. For under £13 000 we have leather trum, leather padded steering wheel, mohogonly wooden panels, wooden auto console for the automatic gearing (which in itself is usually £1000 to have as an extra in a car). 5 Spoke alloy wheels etc.etc. It looks very sporty and I am very pleased with it, as as yet we have not had any problems with the car at all. ...  Read the complete review
