The PT CRUISER from CHRYSLER began as a concept car but, through public opinion, became a reality.
Its retro looks will guarantee neck strain in both pedestrians and other road users, the only road presence lacking is a more throaty exhaust note.
I have had my CRUISER for 6 weeks now and it has attracted more looks than a Kylie Minogue video. Definitely not for the shy-retiring types.
The 2litre 16v engine pulls surprisingly well for what looks like such a big car ( 0-60=9.6 secs) while the reasurance of ABS and traction control, as well as arm chair comfort and excellent driving position, make driving a pleasure.
Interior space can be configured endlessly through multi-adjustable/removable back seats and shelf, giving anything from family car comfort to delivery van space.
My only gripe with the car is that its engine does not quite match its hot-rod looks.
