0 TO 60 In 4.5 seconds! Top Speed 170mph! 450bhp! Welcome to the car of your dreams! This opinion is more for racing drivers than the general public. The Fearsome Viper first emerged in 1989 at the detroit motor show, its outrageous 2 seat design and converted v10 truck engine made it a massive hit. Such a hit that the car was released only 3 years later for the public. With a top speed on 170mph, 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and enough tourque to pull down the empire state building it really is a powerhouse of a car. Other features of the car include a 6 speed manual gear box, beafy front breaks, fiberglass casing to attempt to bring the weight down, limited slip differential, power steering and ABS. So whats it like to drive, well it performs aswell as you would expect in the power department, the 450bhp engine really impressing and sounding like a lions roar compared to rival cars canine whimper. There are a few issues though which damage this road versions racing prowess. The suspension feels slightly unstable and may need tightening up a bit, and although the car has alot of torque like many american cars and many americans,it is a bit on the heavy side at 1531kg, therefore although the car allows a high level of engine tuning you may find the cars handling deteriorates more than expected when tuning up the BHP. However with mechanical knowhow these problems can be solved and this is proved by the dominance of the Viper racing edition at LeMans.
