Advantages: Economical in fuel, tax and insurance.

Disadvantages: Other drivers hate you and prone to rust.

As an owner of two, yes two 2CV's I am of a complete moron, or am I? I don't think so, my kids think they are great, we travel everywhere in them, not at the same time of course, but we have fun, which is more than I can say about almost everyother driver on the road, the road rage, the cost of tax and fuel and the little scratch or dent that happened at Tesco's, a little scratch or dent on a 2CV is positively essential.

So what if we have to spend £300 each year to get them through the MOT's, they are worth it, both cars are valued at £1000 each, which is great considering we paid £350 for the Green and White "Dolly" and £30 for the Red "Special" thank god for those who just don't understand the humble 2CV.

It is so funny when you are sitting a car park and all the kids ask the dads what that car is, it makes you so proud to be an owner.

If you are thinking of buying one, just look out for rust it is a killer and costs a fortune to keep up with, the 2CV club of Great Britain is a good source of information and for spares, happy 2cving.
