Advantages: Cheap to run and spare parts are easier to find than a kick in the teeth, the 956 CC engine is also a great laugh!!!

Disadvantages: Its a death mobile, no safty features in the slightest!! Handles bad in strong crosswinds!!

My little red AX!! What fun we have together!!! Being a poor and young student I needed a car with cheap insurance, high miles per gallon and a bit of street cred.

Well the ax certainly delivers on the first two and even a bit on the second one. Its much more respectful than a Vauxhall Nova. Horrible cars.

Right what you can expect from an AX. DEATH!!! This car has bugger all safety features, Citroen really scrimped to make the car as light as possible. The brakes are attrocious, I personally change mine every six to eight months cause they are poor, they have the stopping power of a wet cardboard box if you have four people in the car. Very bad. Oh and the stearing is horribly heavy with 5 adults in the car, but normally its not to bad.

Inside interior wise, they are actually very good, everything is good solid black plastic (dull), but there is plenty of room in the glove box, and if you want to, theres also plenty of room for excessive amounts of car speakers (like mine).

Seats and interiour trim are generally quite good and can often be replaced easily at a local scrap market if damaged, but the foot pedels and steering coloum are not exactually desirable. Anyone with big feet like me, will have problems!!!!

My model is the 956 CC engine with a four speed box, and whilst it struggles to go over 80 mph, the mid range gearing on this is actually very good with very long ratios for low rev driving around town.

I get great MPG from this little box, about 48 and the cars actually dew for a service soon.

At the end of the day, its only a small little car, its cheap, reasonable reliable and can run on a fiver of fuel for ages. There are better cars out there such as the new Saxo, but if your are reading this, then like me, you cant afford one.

This car has the looks of Dame Edma, but the reliability of Trevour MacDonald to always delivery.

If you have never drivin one, try it. They are a l
augh, and I guarantee that you will have to admit afterwards, they do have an special appeal to them!!!
