I have to say I have mixed opinions on this little car. I had and N reg Citroen AX Memphis, and overall was very please with it.

It had a 1.1 injection and was suprisingly quick for such a small engine, doing 0-60mph in roughly 9 seconds, and had a top speed of roughly 105mph. It also does many miles to the gallon and is also nice to drive.
The gearbox is remarkably smooth; hardly any pressure has to be applied to the gear stick in order to change gear, by far the smoothest gearbox of any car I have driven. You get a good all round view of the road as the driving position is quite high, which I find useful, as I am fairly short. Also the interior and dash of the car is also very nice and sophisticated. The dash, is fairly simple, but still looks very nice with nothing looking out of place or tacky. The seats are also very comfortable, as is the driving position. The seats are very soft and made out of a nice fabric. The driver’s position is fully adjustable being able to move the seat forward and back.
The stereo in the car is also very nice, it produces a very good sound through the speakers. The speakers don’t muffle at all, even when at high volume and whatever tape you select every sound will be heard.

However, I did have a few problems with this car. No power steering was the main one. I found it quite hard to manoeuvre into small parking places and the like, sometimes the steering felt very heavy. Also, the biting point on the clutch seems to be very high and hence, very hard to find, this in turn makes clutch control quite hard. Also, the accelerator seemed very sensitive indeed, with only small touch on it causing a rapid speed change, so I had to wear very thin shoes in order to feel how hard I was pressing it. This may have been me though.
