Advantages: good space, economical, reliable, good workhorse

Disadvantages: new vans cost a lot

I have my own mobile fruit and veg business and hence I need to use a van. I used to have a Citroen C25 but as this got 10 years old I wanted to exchange it for a new van before I started getting some expensive repair bills. I had had 9 years faultless serice from my Citroen C25 so I was slanted in the Citroen direction because of the years of brilliant service I had got from this. Also I expected to be offered a better part exchange deal from a Citroen dealer as it was a Citroen van I was taking in.

I looked at the Citroen range and saw that the van that was in the category of size that I was looking for was the Berlingo. I knew this had a good reputation as it had won awards and had only been released a couple of years. Citroen offered me a very favourable exchange offer and I decided to take a Berlingo.

I took the middle trim option. It was in dark blue (green, silver, white are also available and also for an extra cost metallic paint is available). It has a 1.9 litre diesel engine that will run and run forever. The fuel economy is very good, I have been saving a fortune over my 2.5 litre C25. It comes with drivers air bag as standard and an automatic engine immobiliser. It has 2 side opening rear doors
with good space. It has a very good sized interior both in the cab and in the back and it has fitted my bill perfectly.

Overall if your looking for an economical workhorse then this is the van for you. It'll make a great delivery van also, especially the diesel version.
