Spacious & cheap (Citroën BX)

Advantages: Diesel - loads of MPG, doors open wide

Disadvantages: Parts can be pricey. No longer produced

This isn't a flash car, its not exceptionally fast, but that can be forgiven when it does 45+ to the gallon.

I'm talking about my BX TXD Estate. It has a 1995cc engine which is very good on the diesel, and a huge boot - you can get either 4 Labradors in, or a 3 wheeled pushchair and a weeks shopping.

I've had it about 3 years now and don't want to change. The odd thing has been replaced, but show me a car the same age that hasn't.

If you want an economical, spacious vehicle thats easy to drive & not brand new I would say this is a serious contender.
