Advantages: Cheap to run, fun to drive

Disadvantages: not much room in back, fine for two kids

Bought first C3 in Sept 04. Chose a new 54 reg 1.4SX HDi, 90BHP. in solid black with dark interior. Fantastic car. Ok it had to go back twice in three years. First was for a new heater stepper motor, the other was the offside front spring broke while sitting on drive. Not an uncommon fault with many makes affected. Both springs replaced by dealer. Other than that it has averaged 62 mpg over the 34K miles it has done and if driven really carefully it will avearge 69+. At the same time also owned from new a 51 reg Picasso 2.0 HDI. SX with auto climate control. When this reach 6 years old traded for a second C3. This time a Gun metal Grey 1.6HDI SX brand new on a 07 plate. The 1.4 is Fantastic car the 1.6 is a FANTASTIC CAR. The acceleration and performance is really excellent and although its only done 1600 miles and is a bit low on the mpg 55 (still tight) it is getting better and we are well please with it. Currently both are with us and it will be difficult to find a car to replace these, that gives soo much driving pleasure. There are small niggles with differences with control layout and bits omitted to keep costs down. To me they are 9/10 cars, value for money. £35 per year road tax cheap insurance
