Advantages: Generally reliable. Stylish. Lovely interior.
Disadvantages: Poor visability.
I've had a Citreon c3 for three years and am very pleased with it but at first it took some time to get used to. We bought ours at two years old with one previous owner and 10,000 miles. The design of the car is very stylish and modern looking but the unique lush windscreen style can have it's drawbacks.
The windscreen design with the thick frame work means that occasionally, visability can be inhibited and leads to blind spots when driving. This is especially difficult when reversing and takes a lot of getting used to! Having said this, once i got used to this, it is no longer much of a problem but had to be mentioned as some may find this a huge design flaw.
Generally the car is very reliable. We have never had any problems with its engine or exhaust which are usually the things that cause the most and expensive repairs. Its weak point unfortunately seems to be the fuel injectors which have needed replacing twice on our car in three years. I don't claim to be any expert on what these do but when they go they really go leaving the car completely unusable until the problem is fixed. We have had no other problems, even in the very cold weather that we've endured this winter. Generally it has been very reliable and always starts well.
The interior is very nice and comfortable and the design makes it very spacious with plenty of leg room but this is let down by the boot which is quite small. Only just large enough for my weekly shop. Considering this is a small car it tends to use a lot of petrol. This is very annoying as it is only mainly used for running around town but I always seem to be filling it up.
All in all it is very comfortable and smooth to drive. This would suit a small family or couple that just require a smaller town car. However for those with toddlers, make sure the pushchair fits in the boot before you buy!
