My wife is the owner of the Citroen C3 1.4 SX in Misty Lilac. As a 6'2" man of large build, small cars are usualy my biggest pet hate because they are uncomfortable and cramped, however the C3 seems to have been very cleverly designed to not feel as small as it is. As a driver, i can with relative comfort drive this car ... Read the complete review

Just over two months ago my peugeot 206 GTi decided to die and I realised it was time for a new car. I recently had a baby and my 3 door 206 was also becoming a nightmare with its lack of space. With very little time I rushed my purchase of a 55 plate Citroen C3 VTR. I have totally fallen in love with this car. I purchased it for £5,000 and ... Read the complete review

I've had my Citroen for just over 3 years, bought it used from a Citroen dealer, with 20,000 on the clock. For 2 years, it's been great - it's roomy, massive boot compared to its size. However, now I've got the dreaded Engine Management Light problems. It happens once the engine has heated up a little. The light comes on, the car jolts, and then ... Read the complete review

After owning my little Citroen C3 for just over 6 years, the time has come to accept that this relationship has run its course and move on to better things. So this week, I have finally part-exchanged my C3 and, hopefully, bid farewell to endless visits to the garage and constant repair bills! Like most relationships, this started so ... bought my C3 in April 2008 1.4 HDI not as comfortable as my Picasso but on economy cant fault it .with road tax at £35 a year I saved £135 on road tax alone so well worth having .I find it to be a nippy little car and and get well over 55 to the gallon.the interior makes a few squeaky noises but I can put up with that.
It starts every time and has never let me down, so I would recommend it.

The C3 has to be the least reliable car I've owned since I started buying cars in 1971. Engine Warning Light comes on, the car usually goes into "limp home mode" and is downwrite dangerous to drive with as close to zero power as you can imagain. Sometimes the light comes on but drives normally. Citroen UK just do ... Read the complete review

Citroen C3 SX - Avoid this one like the plague...
Although packed with fantastic features, I found (in common with other owners) that almost as soon as the warranty had expired the trouble started. Sticking and squeaky electric windows, wafer thin body work that can be dented just by leaning on it, failure of basically all the injectors within 4 years, failure of the gearbox within 5 years, and I dread to think what will fail next year...Economical yes, but if you want a reliable vehicle in this class buy a Toyota Yaris, my friendly AA man said they rarely get called out to those!

Bought a new C3 1.4 2yrs ago. First the good bit. Very comfortable car. Now the bad. Incredibly sluggish, took it back twice but the dealer said it was "normal" I have been driving over 40 years, so am not a boy racer, but this car is a real dog on accelaration Heavy on fuel. Even driving very lightfooted and using 5th ... Read the complete review

We bought one for my wife, second-hand from our local dealership. 20,000 miles on it. It's been a complete nightmare, dodgy front springs, replacement suspension due to poor paint production process at factory, and worst of all ... persistent Engine Management problems. Light always coming on ... faulty accelerator sensor, throttle sensor. Now ... Read the complete review

I bought my citroen c3 2 yrs ago when it was just over 2yrs old, 1.4i desire, and have found it a lovely car to drive, very reliable and comfortable. It seems to have so many little features like the courtesy lights, interior central locking activiation, manual and electronic child locks, speed warning function, door open warning - lights flash ... MY REASON: I bought my Citroen C3 for £4900 after a very long research. I had a look at various other cars on the market and decided to buy this C3 ONLY based on economical and envirmental reasons. SAVING ON FUEL: I live 50 miles away from work and that means that on average I spend around £280 per month on fuel. Driving a ... Read the complete review

Bought first C3 in Sept 04. Chose a new 54 reg 1.4SX HDi, 90BHP. in solid black with dark interior. Fantastic car. Ok it had to go back twice in three years. First was for a new heater stepper motor, the other was the offside front spring broke while sitting on drive. Not an uncommon fault with many makes affected. Both springs replaced by dealer. ... A tale of two halves one quite positive and the other sheer frustrating - Here is a modern, airy and attractive 5 door hatchback. I bought it from a Citroen franchised dealer with less than 20,000 miles. A March 2005 Desire model with air con. So far so good its been reliable, economical and cheap to tax. Where it lets itself down is ... Read the complete review

I have just bought a C3 1.6 HDI Exclusive and my initial evaluation of the car is "Wow". This is the first, and unfortunately the last Citroen I will own. I bought the C3 Desire in August 2006, and it seemed perfect as I drove off the forecourt. Only weeks later the faults started to appear. First of all a squeaking noise in the cabin started, and over the next few weeks gor more frequent and louder. Sportif ... Read the complete review

Sensodrive Stop&Start is very clever but uneven. Like the gadgets rain sensors, information display,Lively engine. Treated myself to C3 exactly 3 years ago - petrol auto for family reasons, chosen (new) after having a manual as a hire car for a fortnight in France. Only problem has been blocked injectors from a load of dodgy petrol at an (unidentified) french supermarket - fixed here under warranty. 4-speed Auto is a slightly strange beast but easy once used ...
