Advantages: Lots of space, and comfort

Disadvantages: Lots of gadgets to go wrong, poor resale value

I owned a Citroen C4 for a couple of years. Mine was a 56 plate, 1.6HDI VTR +. It had the comfort pack which included arm rests, child view mirror, climate control, and more. I have to say that it was the most practical car I have ever owned. It had more than enough storage space. With two dash top storage boxes and a normal glove box in the front. Mine also had a fridge in the centre. This was available on models that had tiptronic gear selection. Mine was the semi auto model, could be driven in manual/auto. In automatic the gear selection was sometimes jumpy and spurious. The car drove very well and even though it was only 1.6 it coped with all loads it was asked to carry. The rear seats where 3 full seats, so plenty of room for 3 people. All the rear seats where adjustable and could be slid backwards and forward. Mine had built in sun blinds also, which where very useful if you have kids. The boot was more than big enough for most tasks and obviously has the 2 extra seats if required. Once these seats where used though the boot was quite small, and only had room for a couple of shopping bags. Overall a car that drives well and relatively trouble free. Brilliant for family motoring. one thing i didn't like was the fact it has no spare tyre, only a pump and can of puncture foam. Ideal if you have a puncture and not a blow out. The suspension on mine was standard springs and not the air. The ride was ok on smooth surfaces but on rough, uneven roads it was quite hard and did bang a lot over holes. This car has a vast array of electrical goodies, from windows, gear selection, handbrake and much more. This could be a problem later in life as the car gets older. Mine had many recalls for minor upgrades, many of them for software upgrades, got to be expected on a car like this though. We had many miles of trouble free motoring though. Taking this car across France fully loaded was a pleasure, comfortable and more than capable. The MPG is slightly down on what they quote in the manuals. On trips around towns and local area I was getting high 30's which I was a little disappointed with. On long haul journeys, ie. motorways, it was better. If you stuck to 70mph you could get high 40's, but any more and it started dropping down. Some of the build quality was slightly poor. Interior dash board bits where loose, easily fixed though. The two most rear boot seats are ok for children or adults on a very short journey. Over all this was a good car. Don't buy it expecting BMW/Audi quality. It is a practical family car that more than meets the needs of a family of four.

Summary: Citroens Grand Picasso, good family car.

Hey, Welcome to Dooyoo.
The review is a bit brief considering it's a car, plenty to write about a car, but for a first review not bad. :)
