Advantages: Tons of boot space, usully good deals availble

Disadvantages: Some niggly problems

We have had this car for just over thress years now and whilst this car does not have a very good reputation we have had very few problems with it.

This is the second C5 Estate we have had. The first we had for 4 years and only replaced it because we have to replace our car every 4 years because of my husbands job.

I would say that our current car has probably not been as reliable as the previous one. There were a number of reason whay we bounght this car. The first being the absolutely huge boot space. Ok its an estate but even so the boot is a wonderful usuable size. It is a very square loading space so you dont have any lumps and bumps to get in the way when you are trying to load stuff in (we have fitted a tumble dryer in the back with no problem). The second reason was its three year warranty. This gives you plenty of confidence that should anything go wrong you won't be hit with a large bill (unless its wear and tear like the brakes which aren't covered. We have had a few issues, the heater decided to stop working last winter and the cruise control failed a few days after we bought it but they were all put right with no quibbles and at no expense to ourselves. On our last version they even replaced on of the pull handles which were getting worn! probably the final main reason was the price - we bought it new for about £14,000, because you can usually get a good deal - be it it VAT free or a discount - and this price just made it such good value for money.

The engine is responsive and provides enough power in overtaking situations. The ride is comfortable and smooth - which you would expect from a Citroen with its specialised suspension. It also contains 3 12v connections - one of which is in the boot which is ideal when we go camping for plugging the electric fridge into.

This car just provides just fantastic value for money I can easily allow its little niggles

Summary: A wonderful value for money car - especially if you need lots of boot space
