... What a breath of fresh air this new car is. It's the first estate car I've owned and there are times when you certainly wouldn't notice the difference. After a recent trip to Brussels in the car for the weekend it took 2 and a half tanks at a steady 70-80 mph (but don't hold me to that)a round trip of some 1100 miles. The car didn't break sweat once, even with 4 people, luggage and packing it to the roof with booze on the way back. Which by the way the self leveling suspension took care of so we did...more

Express Review on Citroën C5 2.2 HDi Exclusive SE

One of the most underated cars on the road. fantastic value for money and the most comfortable car I have ever owned. Just px my 06 BMW for a 6 month old C5. I already own one in another country and couldn't live without it. I have had it for 4 years without any sign of a problem. What makes it special, well I could only drive my Jaguar XJ8 for an 1 and a half hours without getting back ache and my bmw for about an hour!! I can drive the C5 for 12 hours and get out as fresh as I got in. It has every extra possible but most importantly its the smoothest ride you'll ever have. I have heard/read of the odd bad car, and I guess with all the extras things could go wrong...luckily not for me so far.

After a long and protracted set of negotiations with my Citroen dealer (who throughout the ordeal were, suprisingly, quite supportive) and Citroen UK (you've got more chance of getting an audience with the Pope than speaking to a Citroen UK rep) I managed to reject the car and negotiate a deal on a new Citroen C5 Exclusive SE Estate 2.2 HDi Auto.
