 ... good, drives well and has a very good equipment spec (alloy wheels, CD player, rear spoiler etc). This car is great value for money. OK, it may not be the fastest thing on the road, but its more than ample for driving around town. Its comfortable, pretty nippy - the only thing that lets mine down is the horrific brakes! I'd definately buy a Saxo over a Ford or Vauxhall any day! ...more

Having driven my brothers Saxo East Coast now for over a year, my initial apprehension about Citroen, has passed. Give me a Saxo over a MG any day. There's about a £20k price difference, a massive gap in insurance costs, and you can't take 5 people to play golf in a MG. Generally Saxo owners don't care too much about cars. They don't obsess over the magazine shelves, video Top Gear, or kerb crawl in Luton. Saxo owners are good, honest folk who recognise a car for what it is - getting from A to B, via Sainsburys. My Saxo "East Coast" has got multi-coloured seatbelts, a powerful CD player, 5 gears, and a top-speed of approximately 90 miles per hour.
