I have always stuck to Citroen when it comes to cars because they are reliable, not too expensive but still have all the advanced features I want in a car. I used to have to use public transport all of the time, not that it is a terrible thing but buses are never on time and you can't go on long journeys at your own pace and do your own thing going by coach. I needed a car for work. I went to the used car company when first buying a car and bought a Citroen AX but then after 2 or so years it was getting old and I wanted certain things in the car that I couldn't get. Every day of having the car was making me lose money I could be getting by selling and ... Read the complete review

Well, now I am taking a risk writing about cars. Thing is, yer see, I'm hardly an expert. Still, I'll give it a go and hope to do my best. It all started a couple of years ago (audience's eyes glaze over already)... OK..I've got 2 cars...one for my good lady and one for me. We decided to invest in a second car as the kid's school is too far to walk to and Ali went back to work part-time. Personally, I'm hopeless with motors so wanted something reliable. So...instead...I bought my father-in-law's Rover Maestro. It was getting on a bit; oh, you know, 1993 model, diesel, 70000+ miles on the clock blah, blah but I knew he would have ... The Saxo Desire is a nice car it's not a great car, it's not a sporty bitch of a car it's a nice car. I certainly would say the 1.1i model is a round town car though! I tend to drive mine round town centre's which she is quite happy but take it on the motor way and you know that you haven't got 16 valves underneath you! But like I said before if your driving round towns more than anything else then this is the car for you, it's very "nippy" for a petrol car it is very economical! I tend to get about 48 miles to the galon. The extra's that you get with the car were also nice, I'm not sure about now days but when I got mine (W reg) ... Read the complete review

the 1.1 desire was my first ever car that I owned, Hard to find in good condition these days and I personally wouldn't reccommend this car if you ever plan on having more than 2 passengers. the car it's self isnt too bad in shape or size, before 99 the cars are very tinny... don't really block out any sounds and is very noisy on motorway, takes years to get to 60mph and averages arround 50mpg (well mine did). The problem with the saxo for me and many others is just build quality this car is so cheaply made and if you read about on the forums for this car online you will see every one having major issues with all of them (Doesn't matter what size engine this car just has ...
