I owned my Silver 1999 mark2 Saxo VTS for about 2 years. My experiences are as follows: Engine - The car has a 1.6 16v engine. Many question the difference between the VTS and the 1.6 8v used in the VTR. Let me tell, you, there is a big difference! The VTS produces all of its power at the top of the rev range. Performance - ... Read the complete review

I owned my Saxo VTS for about 8 years, and for the most part, it didn't let me down. I only recently had to trade in my VTS for a more spacious, cheaper to run car due to the birth of my little boy. The Saxo VTS is stylish, small and very fast. The interior is also very stylish, but the dash fairly basic. The VTS model comes with ... Read the complete review

I love this car, with 120bhp (22mph more than the newer VTR;s) you wouldn't think it would be too much faster or worthwhile buying, but believe me IT IS! The only other car i had before my VTS is, yes, you guessed it, a VTR! As soon as i drove a VTS, i had to buy it because it was just such a power difference. Some specifications are ... About a week ago I found out I would be coming across some money and could finally sell my old Fiesta and get something a bit nippier. A new Zetec S maybe? 306 GTi? VTR? All nice cars, then I came across the VTS. Started reading up on them, including here, and thought, 'well, sounds good' , impressed but not in awe by any means. ... Read the complete review

I was first tempted to buy a Saxo VTS after readig a review when it first came out. However the cramped pedal put me off because my Nova SR had Rally pedals so I opted for a Corsa 1.6i 16v Sport instead. However, two years later after a second test drive I finally got to grips with the pedals and really loved the car. The acceleration was ... Read the complete review

I had the great oppertunity to drive this car. Granted, it was a company car and not my own. The car was quite impresiive, even though it already had a broken air vent when I got it (typical French car). I was instantly impressed with the revvy engine, which still needed running in so I waited for the best later from that. The interior quality ... Read the complete review

Any car produced by Citreon is going to cause you problems, let me tell you. Whether its an image thing or simply the build/ride quality of your machine, Citreon dont cut the mustard. That is of course, apart from the wonderful Saxo VTS. It is a little box of tricks on 4 wheels. It has a 1.8i engine pumping out enough ... Read the complete review

If you are in the market for a small, affordable hot hatch then look no further than the Saxo VTS. Having owned one for the best part of 2 years, I have enjoyed some 30,000 miles of fun-packed driving. The VTS is up there with the best of them. Cracking 60mph in c. 7 seconds is feasible and is dispatched in 2nd gear. This little flier ... Read the complete review

The Saxo VTS is a rapid machine that can quickly take you from 0 - 60 in around 7secs, not bad for a 1.6 engine!! Although the interior is not that big you have a feeling of security in my mind, especially with the seats holding you firmly. I cannot comment on the new style Saxo but the old one was an absolute dream. The car will handle ... Read the complete review
