Advantages: Comfort and long distances

Disadvantages: Not reliable enough and drinks fuel...

We bought our 2 litre automatic Xantia 2 years ago from a Citroen main dealer. It came with 12 months warranty as standard and unfortunately we had cause to use it a number of times.

The abs braking packed up and most components in the suspension system were replaced at one time or another, some more than once. The thing drinks fuel like its going out of fashion and costs a fortune to service at the main dealer, a requirement of the warranty.

Despite this I love driving it and will be a little sad to see it go. Its great for covering big miles on the continent, being able to cruise at 100 for hour after hour (where the law allows of course). Its probably done 80% of its miles at high speed and the rest on the trip to Sainsburys and back...

Its comfortable, the suspension when working properly gives a truly magic carpet ride and its also well equipped with just about every gadget you could want.

Would I buy another one though or recommend one....no..I can't say I would, unless of course you're interested in owning a white, 2 litre auto one, only driven by a little old lady......
