Citroën Xsara LX 2.0HDi 90 hp

I recently purchased this car to replace an old Hyundai Accent. To be blunt, I was just looking for a big car to take all my stuff to University in, and this definitely does that. It is not without problem however. In the first 9 months of use, I have had to be recovered 3 times. One time the fuel pump came undone, dumping all my Diesel on the M11 and leaving me stranded in the outside lane (apologies if you were behind me!). I have also had numerous problems with the electricals meaning the engine wouldn't even start let alone go anywhere. You've got to look twice at the Xsara Estate just to see it at all. This thing doesn't merely look anonymous, it's semi-visible. All those apologetic, effeminate curves make it blend into the crowd like the latest from Daeyundaiwoo. The view's much better from inside, enveloped in the squidgy-but-comfy seats. The dash is chunkily attractive. The controls are where you'd expect them to be (bar the window buttons, playing hide-and-seek on the centre console). And there's plenty of room to stretch out.
