Advantages: large interior space, good fuel consumption

Disadvantages: Slow acceleration

We bought this car to replace a Nissan primera about 2 years ago. At first I was quite doubtful about it as we had never owned a car as big as this before and didn't really see the advantages of it compared to the disadvantages of higher fuel consumption and harder parking but now we are smitten with it. In fact our next car will probably be the new version of it.


The large boot space and easy to fold-down seats mean that the car can keep up as the kids bikes get bigger. There is enough room for a Christmas tree, a guinea pig hutch and a turkey at the same time.


The fuel consumption is also impressive, although if the computer is to be believed then this car could probably drive from London to Sydney on one tank of fuel.


The shape is, if not admirable, then at least elegant. It is certainly eye catching and is more practical than might be thought. It is noticeable without being vulgar, and attention grabbing without being indiscreet.
Our's is the base model of the range, and for our uses its accessories have proved perfectly adequate.


The console computer is not foolproof but is definitely usable and the radio, although not faultless is more than what I would expect. It also comes with the safety features you'd expect from Citroen.


The car is big, and the engine isn't exactly massive so acceleration is about what you'd expect. The handling is also below average although you can't expect much from this kind of car.


This car has proved its worth time and again, and I have no hesitation in recommending it to potential buyers.
