Any driver who has driven a Ferrari will always say the same thing; it is the best car they have ever driven. The Ferrari takes street driving to another level. The Ferrari F335 has a top speed of 186mph so anyone in the car at that speed will immediately be knocked back into the seat. It does 0-60 in a mouth dropping 4.6 seconds. A Ferrari like this will set you back around £110,000 so start saving now and you might just get one in around ten years time. I have to say though the inside of the Ferrari is quite limited and not as luxury as it could be for the cost. Nowadays if you were to drive down the road in a £30,000 Mercedes or a BMW no one would look twice but if you were to tear down the road in this Ferrari then people would struggle to look twice. With a combination of its sleek good looks and neck-breaking speeds this car is the ultimate for the street racer of today. If you’re after a similar car like the Ferrari with just as much speed and style then why not try the Lotus V8 or the Diablo.
This is the best car ever made! Having driven my Dad's i think that the word supreme would be acceptable. It is a classic in design. The shape and drive are fantastic and there is no way i would have anything else. The gearbox is quite hard to get used to if you normally drive a Renault 5 but after a while it becomes a dream to drive. The handling was outstanding and although i don't know too much about the ins and outs i can say that it is the best car i have had the opportunity to drive. The acceleration is fearsome and if you really want to test it go to a track day where you can drive for a certain period of time as fast as you like.
I was fortunate enough to go on one of those "Ferrari Experience" days at the Thruxton circuit very recently. To be honest I wasn't too sure what to expect, visually the 355 is superb, the car exudes presence, class and quality. Entering the car via the massive Coupe door you are presented with a very wide drivers seat and nice relaxed drivers position. Considering the price tag the interior is more focused on the functional side rather than luxury which was a bit of a let down compared with the exterior. Starting the car and fliping the throttle rewards you with a very bassy thump thump reminicent of a Harley Davidson - you can feel that this car is something very special. Driving off, and around the first corner the car exudes power and confidence but to be honest i was somewhat disappointed that it didn't seem quite the wild animal that i had believed it to be. As the driver you have total control on the road, if you hit that throttle the car is there before you can think it, in this masterpiece of engineering speeds seem warped - you feel that you are doing 50 around a corner when in actual fact you are doing closer to 80. The only disappointing thing about the cars performance is the downforce element - you have 380bhp on the rear two weels and if you hit that throttle harder than intended the car just doesn't have the traction to grip the road. In summary I was expecting a wild animal, I got a Thoroughbread race horse.
... if anyone dares to challenge the supremacy of the 355 in the motoring greats, i will personally see to it that they are given a proper education!!!! Okay, so maybe that is a little over the top but once you have seen one in the flesh, you will never be able to rate another car even half as well. At Goodwood this summer the place was swarming with 355s, in fact, I fear that they are becoming a little common!!!! Doh, I'd buy one anyway... somehow I don't think my student loan would cover it though. The best thing about the 355, surprisingly, is not its classic ferrari shaping, not that sexy, slinky shape haring it round the corner... not even the envious looks borne on the faces ofmost passers-by. By far the best feature of the 355 is that scrumptious ferrari engine roaring under the bonnet; that sound can beat anything on earth. Sadly I don't know much about the car... I have never driven one, and nor am I likely to what with my worrying financial situation. DOH.
This car is one of the most beautiful, and elegant cars ever made. I've never driven it, but I don't think I need to. I've read articles about it, seen people on TV drive and comment on it and they all thought it was great. It sounds fantastic, looks fantastic and it is a Ferrari. Almost every car ever produced with the prancing horse has been fantastic (ok, the Mondial was a bit of a dog) but this car has a presence that stirs the soul. I've seen a couple of these on the roads near where I live and they are jaw-droppingly gorgeous to look at. When they accelerate away, the noise is...exquisite. I hope that before I die, I get to drive one of these just so I can experience the magic of this car. Enzo would have been proud.
