Disadvantages: The amphibian appearance

I've been the proud owner of a Multipla 1.9 diesel ELX for four years now. I needed a car that would take six in comfort...yet was as easy to drive as a little hatchback. I wanted six seats, air conditioning and sunroof (most cars only offered either/or), CD autochanger (cost me £160 extra), metallic paint, a boot large enough for shopping and a wheelchair (at the same time, and an air bag you could turn off...and I couldn't afford more than £14,000.

Once I got over the looks (boy is she ugly) I started to appreciate the interior. The car has everything you could want; and its all easy to use, functional and well made. The seats fold forward so that you can use the rear loading area without having to remove them (because I must admit, they are a little heavy. I've used her as a removal van, delivery truck, and mobile cinema....and you can fit an amazing amount of stuff in the boot while she's got the full complement of passengers.

She's cheap to run, and servicing costs are reasonable (around £200-250. She's never let me down...oh, and her name's Bertha. The kids love her.

Summary: Like the Tardis on wheels.
