Advantages: Brilliant all round family car

Disadvantages: Pug ugly

I have had three Multiplas; the last was a write off when a sleeping driver parked his car between my headlights in slow moving traffic. The air-bags, explosive seat belt retractors and fuel cut off all worked perfectly and though the driver behind thought that I must be dead I walked away from the vehicle and though the door was stiff I got away with bruising and forehead friction burns from the air-bags! I enjoyed the first Multipla most as it looked like a house brick with a pugs head glued to the front, and the kids enjoyed counting the number of people that laughed and pointed at us as we drove along. The latest Multipla is an 05 reg and is great, the new shape doesn't get as many laughs but has had only one engine management failure in 82000 miles, and that repair would have been £16 parts plus labour if the garage had diagnosed it properly first time and not changed the mass air monitor and the exhaust gas analyser; costing £450 instead. Each seat has it's own retractable belt and the comfort is second to non; driving is a piece of cake once you get used to everything being where you don't expect it (handbrake by door and instrument module located adjacent to the passenger door, not really it's central but seems to be in the neighbours car at first). Average fuel consumption seems to run at about 32mpg, diesel, but can get up to 42+ on a long run with a light foot. I would recommend this car to anyone and especially to any family that may on occasion have to move a baby rhino or elephant, I recently move a double bed base in one go with the back seats out and have even taken my moped for a ride in the back with the centre seat removed. In summary it is brilliant and the price is reasonable as being pug ugly not many people get to the point of trying it out - don't tell anyone or the price will go up.
