It works... but I'm afraid there isnt a whole lot more I'm happy with with this car... I own a T reg ('99) 3dr 1.2 Punto, and i've had it now for 3 years. I picked it up second hand from a private sale for £1000, and at the time I was quite happy with this, although it was a bit of a fast decision as my last car was written off in an ... THE PUNTO To all car lovers out there I would like to draw your attention to this keen little runner. I realise after the countless series of 'Topgear' shown on the BBC that most of you will be more mesmerised by the likes of Ferrari 360's and Lamborghini Gallardo's. However for those with a more down to earth perspective, this is a ... Read the complete review

First off, I find it funny how the description for this review is a 'Fiat Punto 1.2 3dr', but the picture clearly shows a 5dr... Just made me laugh, sorry. I purchased my Fiat Punto 6months ago from an auction in Nottingham, for just £1,000 + £200 auction charge. The car was in great condition (besides a flat tire which put bidders ... A nippy car with lots of head clearance and leg room. Fuel consumption is good. Build quality is poor. Reliability is poor - I have had problems with clutch, electrics, engine leak and now ticking/knocking, failure of power steering column, broken exhaust and door hinge, not to mention the wipers broke completely. It's a car that will cost you a lot of money if kept for too long. Anything older than 7 years will probably start to fall apart.
There really are many better cars available. I gave FIAT a chance and they broke my heart and caused me hastle and grief. Worst of all they cost me a lot of money in repairs. I bought the 16v sporting which looks great and was nippy, good handling but poorly put together to be reliable for anything more than 7 years. Buy bigger and better and from Japan.

I have had My lovely Fiat Punto 3 door s reg now for well over a year since finally passing my driving test back in August 2007. I absolutely love this car and seriously dont want to part with it. It has more then enough space for my self and my two boys sit in the back in their car seats and there is still room in the middle which I ... Read the complete review

I have had my punto for about 2 years now, and to be fair its a really good car! It may take a long while to get to 60, but it does get there in the end. Its cheap and its a nifty little runner. I have a black 53 reg 3door car. Its currently on 56,000 miles. And really i should of looked after it a bit better then i have. But its still ... Read the complete review

While looking for a car that would be cheap and fashionable to drive , i looked for ages and found the punto. I knew the drive was nice and the handling was good, my friend Symmone had one. Mine is a 53 reg, grey not silver, 3 dr, petrol model. the petrol is quite economical but that depends on how often and where you go. but ... Read the complete review

I bought this car second hand, its red with the plastic bumpers, 1999 Y reg with only one previous owner. The day after i bought it the vent in the center console for the aircon fell out onto my hand while it was one the gear stick giving me the right of my life. The brakes were sticking as a part had fallen off, so it meant that the ... Read the complete review

Being a short person (5ft nothing), when I look for a car I like to be able to see over the steering wheel....it is also quite handy to be able to see the back end !!! I have driven some tanks in my time and, after 20 years of driving, I wanted something small, sexy and comfortable....like me !!! Luckily the company I work for offer ... Read the complete review

Although I have resisted, I can resist no more the time has come, its time to enlighten you all to the virtues of owning a Fiat Punto. As some of you already know, I am probably the number one enthusiast of Fiat, with my present love being my trusty Punto called Fifi. Well, let me tell you a little about myself and why I may have chosen this car. I passed my test six months ago now and at 17 years old, finding a suitable car was not the easiest task. My goal was with a budget of £10,000 to buy a new car, with low insurance and not to ripped off. Having scoured the internet, I sourced many little ... Read the complete review

Engine. Very nice torque (esp. from low revs). Outshines many 1.4 models I've driven (Astra, Focus!). However.... because of cost cutting to the Mia model, you do not get the 16v version, and because of this the engine really suffers on the motorway. Any incline has you shifting into 4th gear. Mia is 60bhp, Punto 16v 80bhp - same engine..... ... Read the complete review

I have recently read a few reviews of puntos and they have been somewhat negative- I have been spurred into action and feel the need to defend a fantastic car... I have a story to tell, which may prove my point, or may simply bore you to tears. Either way I am going to tell you... are you sitting comfortably? Once upon a time I owned a ... I’ve recently had the dubious pleasure of renting a Fiat Punto 1.2, 3 door for a week. My own car went into the garage so I was lumped with the Punto for the duration. It’s a fairly comfortable car, although the seats are quite upright and feel very stiff while driving. The dash board is quite well laid out and everything can ... Read the complete review

Christmas 2000, my father asked me what I would like for a present, and being a Daddy's girl, I asked for a car. I didn't want anything fancy, just something that had 4 wheels and wasn't a heap of rust. My father agreed, but as I didn't pass my driving test until March 2001, so he agreed to by me a brand new car, as the insurance ... Read the complete review

I don't own a Punto. Would never buy a car like that. I've alweays owned fast, impractical cars. Now I drive a Mitsubishi FTO GPX, and ride a Harley. But my girlfriend drives a Punto, and whenever I need to get anythign bigger than a loaf of bread in the car, I do too. And I'm impressed by the 'new' car. My girlfriend ... Read the complete review
