When looking for a second car, we wanted something that wouldn't add to a great deal to our motoring costs, but at the same time provide a fun driving experience. Our other car's a Saxo VTR, so the Seicento Sporting was never going to compare. Or so I thought....

The first impression upon driving the little yellow Italian is one of a smooth and solid car. Whilst it doesn't have the raw power and speed of our VTR, it certainly doesn't feel slow, being able to cope with most everyday traffic situations with its head held high, and you won't get left behind at the lights as often as you'd think! (if you're into that sort of thing!).

I'd say that it's definitely worth going for the Sporting over the basic models as you seem to get a much better car for not alot more money. You get a sunroof, power steering, nice Sony face-off CD player, sporty steering wheel with airbag and a great fun car. OK, so the back seat isn't the most spacious in the world but if, like us, you only occasionally have a third passenger, then this won't matter a bit.

There seem to be quite a lot of good deals around on them at the moment aswell. Ours was a pre-registered one with delivery miles at about £1500 less than list price.

Anyone considering a second car or indeed a first car with a bit more character and fun than your avaerage Ka's, Corsa's and so on, should seriously consider the Seicento Sporting. Test drive one today!!
