Advantages: looks, size, handling

Disadvantages: pointless sunroof, 1st gear problematic, other people's perceptions

I ran my Sei over 2 and a half years, and 45,000 miles. In that time, I grew more and more attached to the car - It is one of the rare cars today with a character.

I passed up the Toyota Yaris in favour of the Seicento for this very reason. The Yaris was just a box on wheels in comparison. It didn't feel alive in quite the same way.

The car was, in the main, reliable. On the few occasions it wasn't, the warranty stepped in to help out.

The reason I sold it, was not that I was bored with it, or needed a change, but the curious mindset other driver's perception of the Sei placed me in. I felt I had to drive flat out everywhere to prove that my baby could keep up with that Renault Clio 16v/Golf GTi/Escort XR3i. If driven properly, it could - to about 30mph, when the power of the other car would kick in.

I miss it.
