I've been driving Eunice as I call her for 5 years now. She's a good little runner but thirsty, apparently to be expected for a petrol car of this size.
Her electrics are a little dodgy. The drivers heated seat stopped working about 6 months after I got her and the engine warning light likes to blink at me every now and then but soon gives up after a little sweet talk.
It's easy to remove her seats but a pain to store them. However, her high ceiling and van like qualities (including fabulous sliding rear doors so the littlies can't door-ding the neighbours in the supermarket carpark) mean that she'll serve me fantastically at the carboot sale tomorrow. She's packed to the hilt and ready to go :)
She drives like a car with a great high view and the arm rests do give her an armchair quality. However, the hand brake is on the right hand side and there is nothing between the two front seats. Great for stashing a briefcase but awful when you've got litterbug kids who leave drink bottles to roll forward from the rear. I've had a bottle roll under the brake pedal a couple of times and it's scary stuff. I really must train the sproglets better.
I doubt I'd buy a Ulysse again. She's definitely not pulling material. But she's served her purpose as an MPV for a large family at an affordable price. I bought her with 9 miles on the clock at 8k below list price. A bargain!
