We have a 4 door, mark 6 escort, 1.6 zetec engine that has had some serious modefication.

As a family car the escort has been one of the favorites for many years and has been a good reliable car.

It has a spacious interior which is well thought out, big sturdy switches, dials and buttons all within the drivers reach easily. It has a good all round view or should i say mine did have untill someone put a great big spoiler on the back blocking my view out of the rear screen completely but it looks nice and that was what i wanted. The seats are comfortable, made of velour which is hard wearing and are still in great condition despite the car being nearly 12 years old and done nearly 100,000 miles.

As a base model car it was fuel efficient, quiet and reliable but mine has a decat exhause which is rather noisy, an induction kit, fast cams and varios other head modifications taking the standard 100 horse power to well over 200 horse power.

The body on my car is in great condition despite being 12 years old, there is no rust and is a easy body to modify and personalise, there are various bumpers and skirts available for the car, ours has the rs boot spoiler, vented bonet, the vipor front bumper and side skirts and rear bumper, lexus rear lights.

As standard this car had 14 inch wheels but we have 18 inch wheels with a 35 profile tyre. (see profile immage)

The escort is a great family car that just keeps going and going
