Advantages: cost, cheap labour etc, extras

I recently had to buy a second hand car which had room to transport my rather large (greyhound) dog about. Originally I looked at estates but was very limited within my price range (~£3000) so decided to measure up a few cars boots.
All were quite small until i tried the Escort - WOW - it was massive for a car that size! Easily fitted the dog!
The price was right for such a good looking (metallic purple 1.4LX) car with nice features (electrics, sunroof etc) so I got it.
Haven't regretted it since. Cheap parts, servicing but above all excellent reliability!
I would definetaly recommend and buy again myself......5 star car
