We bought our Ford escort bonus a few years ago (with an empty petrol tank) from our local dealer.
A few days after buying it, it developed a whining noise from the clutch.
We took it back and they said they'd fix it. When we got it back the clutch was still making the whining noise and the driver side window was jammed because the trim was all ripped off and jammed back on at the wrong angle and the window running tracks were all bent!!!
We took it back and they unjammed the window, hardly apologised and said they had put a new clutch in.
It still made the whining noise and the knackered window leaked water in when it rained soaking the seat belt through.
We took it back and the manager was very rude to us and eventually agreed to put another new clutch in!
We got it back and it still made the same clutch whining noise.
We wrote to ford UK and got no real help.
We took it back to the dealer who said it was our fault for not looking after it!!!!
We sold the pile of crap and bought a very reliable Austin Maestro, which was a hundred times better than the Ford crap.
