Advantages: F150- Looks good, loads of space, F350- a tank

Disadvantages: American

Visiting america is always an amazing experience as far as cars are concerned. The smaller of the ford truck beasts is the F150. Available in more sizes than you can shake a rather big stick at it looks the part and has a stupidly large engine to haul its huge weight around. Personally ive never understood the american facination with trucks but this one does look pretty good and can hold huge ammounts of luggage or whatever the naturally atheletic englishman can haul into is oversized back. I have never actually seen an american with anything in the back and its usually covered with a canvas so why these cars are so popular i will never know but if you want a powerful pickup truck from the states then this one is probably going to be the best unless you want even more power and sheer brute force, if u do want to spend another £10k then go for the F350 which is the size of a tank and capable or crushing smaller cars with no personal discomfort to driver and passengers. Dual rear tires and high enough so that you can stare into the sunroof of smaller landrover discoverys and freelanders and have the all american feeling of knowing noone is gonna get in ure way just cos u got the biggest hunk of metal on the road.

Ha ha, very funny. British people can't understand a truck until you live here. I'm a brit in the USA and we have an older '74 F250. Ford makes GREAT TRUCKS! Ours is a 3/4 tonne with a 390ci V8 engine. 8ft bed. It's super reliable, requires minimal maintenance and is strong as anything! It'll haul or tow mostly anything you want, and we use it: to move house, to move equipment around for work occasionally, to drive up mountains...Last week we used it to move a hammond organ and a huge old stove into our house. Down here in Tucson people really use their trucks. Actually, lots of people in the USA do as long as you live anywhere with space. Yes there are plenty who also use them to drive to school and that just sucks. But American Men ain't movin from their trucks and the electrical age will just bring huger electric engines!

You should come here, buy a big truck and put a LIFT KIT on it. Raise it up so high that you have to climb up a ladder to get in. Then drive down an unmaintained dirt road for 35 miles with potholes the size of tennis courts, pick up that huge pile of wood from a friend for the shed you are building, drive back, stick it in front of your house and feel great!

Another smug Brit a**hole! It's a truck , used to haul building stuff so us dumb Amurrikuns can add a pool or three car garage or whatever on to our obscenely giant houses ( and do it ourselves, being the self reliant, can-do people we are). Ford F150's are wonderfully versatile and dependable vehicles if your an industrious American male ( and I know deep down, thats what your longing to be...dream on ).
Bye, Y'all
