My wife and I have owned fiestas for some years and the latest was bought in april last year. When we bought it we were told we would notice an improvement over the previous one. Not so.

It is a relatively large ponderous car which is sluggish. Is it because the new safety features require more room and weight ? The petrol consumption is about 38 mpg and even on a run does not get any better.

On the latest servising I suggested that the tappets might be a bit noisy but this was translated as "there was a tapping noise" ! What can you do when faced with this ?

Despite most of the other reviews saying the problem with the Fiesta is the size, DON'T LET THIS PUT YOU OFF!! I find the size ample - we use this car to shift all my stuff to and from Uni 6 times a year, and I have a lot of stuff.
