I have to admit a Ford Fiesta would not be my choice of car but having been at the front of a three car pile up a couple of weeks beforehand my own car was off to get a new rear bumper and I was presented with a brand new Ford Fiesta for a weeks driving pleasure although to be honest the only real pleasure was the fact that it had a pretty good air conditioning unit that served to remind me that I needed to get the gas topped up in my own car. Having the car for a week meant I got to do about 500 miles in all on a number of different road types so it served as a pretty good test drive experience. I bought a 2001/Y Fiesta 1.25 Freestyle approximately 4 months ago in Aug 2004, paying £2,900 for a privately advertised car with 21k miles on the clock. I was looking for a cheap-to-insure small car, and considered a Peugeot 206 and Toyota Yaris as alternatives, but the Yaris was too expensive and the Pug worried me as I'd read too many stories about dodgy electrics and water leaks (although it still looks great). I owned a 1999/S 1.25 Fiesta about four years ago and kept it for about a year, so it was interesting to come back to a similar car after owning a Puma 1.7, a Golf GTI 1.8T and and an MX5 in the meantime! So yeah, I've just got a new car. Well, to be a bit more accurate, my mum and dad have been forced to replace the car that my brother and I have access to. However, mum and dad are both perfectly happy driving their own cars, and Matt is away at university (Kent, Drama, 3rd year), so basically I've got a new car! Woohoo!
