Excellent Car (Ford Fiesta Freestyle 1.25 16V)

Advantages: Cheap to run, good features Disadvantages: Rusting rear side wndows I have had my Ford Fiesta 16v Freestyle since new in 2001. I opted for this model and paid a bit more for it due to the extra features such as alloy wheels, CD player, front fog lights. I don't want to jinx myself but so far I have had no major problems, it has never failed an MOT and I have not had to have any serious work done, it has been very reliable, I have only done 40000 miles so far though. I did have a bit of an annoying problem though and I think this may be a common problem on this model and other similar Fords but there are a couple of metal clips that are outside facing on rear side windows, after about a year these started rusting away and looked very unsightly. As it was only a year old you wouldn't expect that so I eventually managed to get my local Ford garage to replace these as a good will gesture, I would be interested to know if anyone else has had this problem. The car itself is a good runner, low mileage and fairy cheap to run. The CD player is very good and has 6 speakers as standard. Although it is only a 1.25 litre I have it pretty nippy at times. I have had this car for nearly 10 years now and have been very happy with it. Summary: I have had this car for nearly 10 years now and have been very happy with it.
