Advantages: fuel consumption, insurance cheap, air con

Disadvantages: brakes

I purchased a freestyle when the new registrations came out in 2001. needed to trade in my old tank of a vauxhall carlton which was going to die very shortly. Spent hours looking in the local garages and after many hours deliberating opted for the freestlye, 5 door in red.
Since purchasing it I have driven just under 10 000 miles in the nearly 18 months I have owned it and have found it to be one of the best small cars I have driven. As an advanced grade one police driver I like to think I can handle a car, and this one sticks to the road like some of those I drive at work!!. It's suspension is firm and with the extra width on the wheels as standard there's plenty of rubber to keep you on the road.
It comes with air con, cd, and a few other little bits and pieces. The air con is a life saver, not many small cars fit it as standard but Ford got it right. It is not bad on acceleration, but I drive a volvo T5 for 10hrs a day and I suppose I am compairing it with that which is very unfair. It certainly outruns my wifes renault clio.
The only one down fall with the car is it's brakes. They could be firmer, but if you find it a problem then you are too close!!!
The garage have also been excellent, the salesman has phoned on several occassions to see if he could do anything or if there were any problems.
I would buy another one, infact my wife wants a new car and she may well end up with one of these unless I can convince her we need a bigger one in which case she can have mine!!.

It's a nice little car - I've got one myself. But I do feel a bit out-classed when I go round to my mates and park next to their Exige and Impreza... :(
